UIC General Director becomes new Chairman of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI)

The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI) is an economic organization established in 1992 in Hanoi by Japanese companies invested in Vietnam.

Almost all the Japanese and Japanese related companies in and around Hanoi are the members of JCCI including Hai Phong area.  Currently the number of member companies is almost 800.

It has variety of activities, mainly the activities to improve business environment, encourage investment by having interaction with relevant parties including Vietnamese and Japanese government,

providing support activities for Japanese companies as well as to Japanese communities, individuals, and, sponsoring Japanese School in Hanoi and so on.  ( https://jcci.vn/en/)

On 22nd Apr this year, in the General Annual Meeting of JCCI, it was approved that Mr Nagaoka becomes the new Chairman of JCCI for the fiscal year 2022 (April 2022 to March 2023).

This is the great honor but also new challenge for him to take the dual responsibilities as the GD of UIC and Chairman of JCCI at the same time. It is believed that he will fulfil those duties with the support of all UIC’s staffs.

In another development, 2023 will be the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Mr. Nagaoka also becomes the member of Executive Committee for 50th anniversary Project on 26th April 2022.
